11th August, 2008.The economic blockade proved to be the last nail in the coffin of kashmir's integration, people in hundred and thousands defied the so powerful indian army, and marched towards Muzzaffarabad road. The largest democracy retaliates by killing 5 and injuring 200 among them a senior Hurriyat leader, the tally is going up by every second I count, what’s Happeing? A question everyone is asking, but without an answers.
I am sitting in the garden of my downtown ancestral residence, listening to the intermediate gun shots and teargas shells, wondering what could be a solution, when suddenly I thought about my school days. My generation has seen a lot of strive and tense situation, I still remember the middle 90’s when the secessionist movement was at its peak. I would be very scared wondering what if I get hurt, or what if a stone hits me or a bullet. Those were the days when our school life was worst hit. To reach my school, The Burn Hall, I had to travel the most sensitive areas of Srinagar like Rainawari, Khanyar , Khyam , and dalgate. Though at times we would do a full Srinagar Darshan and still not reach the school, because it was the order of the day that main areas would be tense. Though, we as students would be very happy since we would hardly get to go to the school and instead enjoy a free ride. In due course situation became relatively better.
I would always tell my friends what all adventure we had witnessed during the worst period of militancy like the Hazratbal Seize, the burning of Chari-Sharief shrine, the massacre at chattis-singhpora. People would always say in Kashmiri “Hata katuu e namath wapas” (90’s would never return), but today all those optimists are proved wrong, believe me today things are even worse. Curfew has been clamped in the entire city, I spoke to many people to ask about their well being, the response was evident and clear, Kashmir is burning and only God can save us now. This should be an eye opener to people sitting in their cozy rooms and making speeches in Delhi and to those self styled leader of Sangarsh Samiti , you have touched the wrong chord, Kashmir will not remain the same again.

the march 'muzzaffarabad chalo' which originated from fruit mandi sopore was one of the largest in the history of kashmir. more than 4.5 lac people participated in it. the participation of people in march defying every obstacles in there way, even sacrifying their lives as two youth lost ther lives.
That peaceful marchers were greeted with bullets, which vendicates kashimiri's position that kashmir is colony of india, futher shoe the hypocrisy of indian govt., while union goverment took away wepons and lathis from both kashmir and armed police, in order to restrain the police not use force against those hindu fundaments who torched police station gujjar huts, burn trucks with drives embedded in the trucks and have being blocking the esstentil supplies to kashmir for nearly a month. on the other side the same police have been eqipped rudra (locally known as fan)tear gas shell which police is using frequently on the peaceful in kashmir and same are supposed to be used in military operation only.
what a shame.
and india is the largest democracy in this world

Hello bro. I have a question for you. You people are fighting for your cause its good I also support it but have you ever thought why these 700,000 armed persons are there if you think cause is being communal then I think its wrong some people can be communal but whole govt. cant it is proved by the fact that muslims in the other parts are not treated like you or so much large army is not present in any other muslin majority area reason must be something else which I think is militancy when there is a blast in jaipur, surat, ahemdabad, Mumbai or even in kashmir muslims are also present in the list of dead persons so being unbiased you must have an debate on militancy its cause, effects and solution I just want to know the views of the people of kashmir about it
