Geelani's Stand is Bewildering
I been studying the stand of various leaders from past few days, and it looks like every one has his own opinion. Yesterdays statement by Syed Ali shah Geelani proved that he wants to take the credit, when he asked the audience “who was their leader, he excluded everyone from the conglomerate. That abundantly proves that deep in his sub-conscious mind he thinks he is the one who has resurrected the movement. Although he did clear some of the misgivings that the statement had created, but it looks like the damage has already been done. Now the latest situation brings it to ground zero. It will be interesting to watch how others react to this statement.
Remember Omar Abdullah also has a great following not only in Kashmir valley but Jammu and Ladakh also. In the recent past even he has addressed unprecedented gatherings through out the entire state. You cannot have a solution to kashmir without the active participation of the National Conference, it is the only party which has grass root workers all over the state.
Another point that Geelani made yesterday was about Pakistan, that he would want Kashmir to be merged with that country. I spoke with some many people who totally disapproved this, even Hurriyat leaders. Let me clear one thing and very loudly
PEOPLE ARE NOT WITH PAKISTAN and they dont want to be with Pakistan.

Even i was wondering what geelani meant by saying that he was the leader , then what does he think all the other people where F*****. themselves for the past decade.

For 60 years now, India and Pakistan have been trying to negotiate on the Kashmir issue....what is the progress???Don't you think its time to let a third party come in....I mean if even 60 years is not enough then how much more time do we need to understand that an international mediator is the requirement of the day just as in the case of East Timor or Kosovo.According to you A large majority of Kashmiris will vote for India/JKNC in a UN referendum....so why is India/JKNC scared of a plebiscite in Kashmir???

Yes if its india definately then they should be scared of plebisite . But NC was earleir a plebiste front. I feel for them to be with india is a compulsion , otherwise go and ask any NC men he will say if autonomy then good ,if azadi then better.

It is without a doubt that people want change and want to escape from the prison that is known as Kashmir. With 700,000 troops and constant interference in their lives, people definitely want a change.
For Geelani to say that people want to trade this current rule by India to a rule by Pakistan is naive as Mr Tanveer corrrectly noted "bewildering". I doubt people want to join Pakistan. They sure want Azaadi but last time i checked the urdu-english translation book, Azaadi meant Independence and not merger with PAkistan.

Well I have the stand from the first day that he is not your real leader first of all you must choose your leader and omar is best (I think so)
If omar is not supporting your cause of complete azadi there should a reason which I think is his far sightedness complete azadi will never be solution of your problem it will add up to your problems if you think with your calm head
Now if we think about complete azadi (poorn sawraaj) then according to me your problem will be:
PAKISTAN: can you think Pakistan will allow you to live azaad after so many wars if you are complete free India will not help you but you don’t want to inherit pak. Problem.
MILITANCY: does you think you will be able to solve militancy problem which whole world is not able to solve, I know some of them (militant) are fighting for the cause of azadi do you think it will stop after azadi which independent Pakistan and Afghanistan are surfingfrom. Who will secure borders which worlds third largest army can not secure & your internal problems
GROWTH: kashmir is popular only for tourist what do you think will tourist prefer independent kashmir who are not preferring Pakistan for champions trophy which has all modern weapons if you go according to geelani will they prefer burkha which modern Islamic world is not preferring what about your studies, you are graduate form Mumbai after azadi all the students will have to apply for visa to even come to Delhi
What I think independence is something illogical you can have faith on india but Pakistan which is infiltrating even now can you have faith in him you might many more problems from mentioned above I also want to give you solution:
You should continue protests until central govt. open their eyes then tell them we want peace either by certain policies or by azadi under some limitations like article 370 for j&k or autonomous status with borders secured by india and in return you will act as federating unit of india which will provide you with growth, security & peace what you want the most
Don’t forget INDIA is going to be super power in few more years which will also add many stars in kashmir. Kashmir had been most preferred destination for the tourists in 2006 in whole world what do you think was this possible without INDIA you cant ignore benefits of INDIA no doubt your cause is genuine for fight but be aware of leaders like geelani I don’t think hs way of fight is RIGHT
